Keep your Cellphone Number

An article in ‘Business Report’ reported that Vodacom, MTN and Cell C ‘were racing against time to establish a company that is expected to manage a database of cellphone numbers that could be switched to any of the existing operators when mobile number portability (MNP) comes into being.’

This is good news for those cellphone subscribers who wish to switch networks and keep their original numbers.

MNP should be in operation by the end of June this year.
